[Ah, wonderful, permission! Sparkling's door creeps open to only a sliver as Caviar begins to squeeze himself through. Although he's thrilled he didn't have to argue his way in, his demeanor is...softer. Smaller. He doesn't come barging in and making a grand stand out of things, but rather has his ears folded back bashfully while his tail wags quickly at the tip as a sort of doggy peace offering.
Basically he just doesn't want to set Sparkling off or give him a reason to get defensive right off the bat.]
Listen, mate, I just wanna say... [He scratches the back of his neck some, his gaze everywhere but on Sparkling himself.] ...that...y'know, I know it's been...tough...with the amount of cookies that are suddenly under your wing... And you've been doin' a GREAT job gettin' everyone all situated, believe me, I ain't here with grievances, but I do know you're the sort to pile on a lotta responsibility and—
[As Caviar rambles on and continues to look around the room, he cuts himself off when he FINALLY gets a good look at the demon he's actually talking to. Sorry, Sparkling, he wouldn't be a good captain if he wasn't so observant. That bashful demeanor goes out the window when he straightens up his posture, ears no longer folded as his face becomes the usual sort of stern it defaults to.]
What's goin' on with all the... [He gestures to his neck.]
[Sparkling honestly wasn't sure what he was expecting Caviar to say upon entry, but this wasn't quite it. He's left looking on at the Werewolf with his brows slightly raised, un-used to this sort of meek demeanor from him...only to realize that he seems to be coming to him about something completely different than what Sparkling feared. Something he didn't find issue with in the first place, which he would have been eager to latch on to if it weren't for the fact that Caviar quickly notices something amiss with his appearance.
It...causes Sparkling to scowl and look away, lifting his claws to tug the collar a bit higher. "It's nothing", he wants to say, because lying like this is easy. It comes as easy as breathing. But he's so worn down that it's taking more of him to tap into, now.]
Everything is fine, Captain. I just have a bit of an injury that's healing. It's nothing to worry about.
If Caviar's to be completely honest, he really can't stand how this...demon transformation's changed Sparkling. That scowl, would vampire Sparkling look at him that way? He's been acting funny ALL MONTH, and at first he could handle the weird cockiness of it all, but the subtle disrespect presses his buttons. So he goes into full captain mode, his ears perked up at full alert as he continues to eye Sparkling down to see if there's anymore damage he can find, the collar can only hide so much.
And, well, a little intimidation never hurt nobody-]
Only an injury, he says. Is this that "sickness" you've been goin' on about? 'Cause I'll tell ya, I don't know any illness that leaves a cookie battered and bruised.
[Whoops, he said cookie. It's fine, no one's here to make fun of him for cookie speak.]
[Well, Sparkling sure isn't going to make fun of it, not when the language hardly phases him. He misses being a cookie, honestly. He misses being a Vampire. He regrets the decision to become...this at all, and it wasn't even one he'd made consciously. It had been a mistake, and now...
It may have ruined everything. He doesn't yet know.
Sparkling can feel Caviar's gaze on him, and it makes him uncomfortable. He shifts, still looking away.]

What, and have you all worry for me needlessly?
